The Thailand KOSEN Project has officially introduced the Japanese-style technical education system (KOSEN) with the opening of Thailand's first KOSEN, "KOSEN-KMITL," in May 2019, followed by the second KOSEN, "KOSEN KMUTT," in June 2020. These schools aim to develop practical and innovative engineers who will support Thailand's industrial policy, "Thailand 4.0."
The National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Japan supports these institutions by dispatching Japanese KOSEN teachers for training and guidance of Thai instructors as part of an ODA loan project. Additionally, several Japanese KOSENs, including Tomakomai KOSEN and Hachinohe KOSEN, serve as project schools, assisting with student exchange programs to Japan and the creation of educational materials.
Currently, the Thailand KOSEN Project is actively seeking companies to host interns. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of engineers who will drive technological innovation in Thailand. We look forward to the participation of many companies in this important initiative.
