What is a Aminophenol?
Aminophenol is a compound with an amino group (−NH2) and a hydroxyl group (−OH) attached to a benzene ring, with the chemical formula C6H7NO. Aminophenol is primarily used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, dyes, and other chemical products. Specifically, para-aminophenol (p-Aminophenol) plays a key role in the synthesis of acetaminophen (a common analgesic and antipyretic).
