What is a Propane?

Propane is an alkane (saturated hydrocarbon) with the chemical formula C₃H₈. It is a colorless, odorless gas that is a major component of natural gas and petroleum. Propane is notable for being a liquid under moderate pressure or at low temperatures, but it exists as a gas at room temperature and atmospheric pressure.
