What is a Molybdic acid?

Molybdic acid is a compound typically represented by the formula H₂MoO₄ or its hydrated form H₂MoO₄·H₂O, with molybdenum in its +6 oxidation state. It appears as a white or pale yellow powder, slightly soluble in water, and exhibits acidic properties. It is primarily used in analytical chemistry and as a precursor for producing molybdenum salts.
