What is a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) battery?
A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) battery is a system designed to provide temporary power to connected devices during power outages or when there are fluctuations in the voltage supply. ✅ Line-Interactive UPS:
This type adjusts automatically to voltage fluctuations and switches to battery power during an outage. It provides higher stability compared to the offline type.
✅ Online UPS:
This type continuously supplies power from the battery, unaffected by the commercial power supply. While it is the most expensive, it offers the highest stability and protection.
UPS batteries come in various types, including lithium-ion batteries and lead-acid (VRLA) batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are commonly used in newer models due to their longer lifespan and compact size, while lead-acid batteries are still widely used due to their lower cost. UPS systems play a crucial role in preventing sudden shutdowns of equipment, protecting against data loss, hardware damage, and business interruptions during power failures.
