Emulsion paint / List of 4 manufacturers
What is a Emulsion paint?
Emulsion paint is a liquid in which particulate resin is evenly dispersed in a solvent. The solvent is basically water, and it is rare to use it nowadays. Since it is water-based, it can be freely diluted with water, it is easy to adjust the viscosity with a thickener, there is no stringing, and it has excellent spray suitability. It is easy to apply to highly hygroscopic surfaces such as mortar, and it is easy to mix pigments and additives.
Application of Emulsion paint
It is mainly used as a paint for construction. Commonly used types of resins include acrylic, acrylic / styrene, urethane, fluorine, vinyl acetate, and ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer resins. Acrylic with excellent weather resistance, water resistance, and alkali resistance under harsh conditions, and thermosetting acrylic emulsion may be used for metal painting. After painting, it is baked to cause a cross-linking reaction and improve hardness, adhesion, water resistance and solvent resistance.
