What is a Amino alkyd resin paint?
Amino alkyd resin paint is a baking paint whose main element is a mixture of alkyd resin and amino resin. The main amino resins used in aminoalkyd resin paints include butylated melamine and urea resins. Amino alkyd resin paint has the advantage that it can be baked in a short time in a low temperature environment. In addition, aminoalkyd resin paint has the characteristics that the coating film is hard and that it has a beautiful luster. Furthermore, it has the advantages of less discoloration, excellent weather resistance, chemical resistance, and abrasion resistance, good electrical properties, and flame retardancy. While having these excellent characteristics, aminoalkyd resin paints have the disadvantages of being inferior in adhesion and alkali resistance to epoxy, vinyl, and acrylic resin paints.
Application of Amino alkyd resin paint
Aminoalkido resin paints are used for undercoating and topcoating, except for large structures that require on-site painting, for ""building materials such as surface-treated steel sheets,"" ""automobiles,"" ""electrical materials,"" and ""machinery."" It is used for painting ""metal furniture,"" ""office equipment,"" and ""other metal products."" The acid-curable aminoalkyd resin has a hard coating film and has excellent scratch resistance. Therefore, it is widely used for painting wood products such as flooring and wooden furniture. The acid-curing type aminoalkyd resin paint cannot be used for painting metal products because it uses an acidic curing agent.
