Boiled oil / List of 4 manufacturers
What is a Boiled oil?
Boiled oil is an oil obtained by boiling and oxidizing drying oil together with metal oxides. As a specific manufacturing method, metal oxides such as manganese, lead, and cobalt are added to flaxseed oil, soybean oil, or perilla oil, and boiled at 120 ° C to 150 ° C while blowing oxygen. This will drain the oil. The dry oil that has been treated in this way becomes even more dry and becomes boiled oil. Although ordinary drying oil dries in the air, it dries very slowly and takes a long time to dry. Boiled oil is a further enhancement of the drying property of drying oil, which can significantly reduce the drying time.
Application of Boiled oil
Boil oil is used as a paint. By applying boiled oil to painted parts such as wood and iron parts, the painted parts can be protected, and light resistance, water resistance, and alkali resistance can be improved. As a specific painting method, take an appropriate amount of boiled oil on the brush and apply it thinly and evenly to the painted part. Boiled oil usually dries in 20 to 30 hours. There are also commercially available boiled oils, such as quick-drying boiled oils, that can further reduce drying time. Quick-drying boiled oil dries in about 10 hours.
