What is a grease gun?

A grease gun is a tool used to apply grease, a lubricant, to parts of machinery and equipment. Grease guns typically have a mechanism that uses a hand-held pump or compressed air to force grease out of a container and into the part. Also called a grease gun or lubricator. Grease is a lubricating oil used to smoothen the sliding parts of machines and reduce friction. A semi-solid product is generally produced by adding a thickening agent to a liquid lubricant and mixing it uniformly. A grease gun can be used to easily and accurately apply grease to parts. It provides a more efficient and even application than applying grease directly to the part.
