Centrifuge / List of 11 manufacturers
What is a Centrifuge?
A centrifuge is a machine that separates liquid and solid components with different specific densities that are mixed in a liquid by applying centrifugal force. There are other tools for separating mixed liquids at the laboratory level, such as a separating funnel, but this can be handled with a large size funnel even when there are many samples, and it is volatile because it can be degassed. It has the feature that it can be used to separate organic solvents, etc., but when it is necessary to separate with strong force or when operating multiple samples, a centrifuge is more suitable.
Application of Centrifuge
Centrifuges are sized according to scale, from the laboratory level of universities and companies to the manufacturing sites of manufacturers. At the laboratory level, it is used, for example, in biochemical laboratories that handle cells, when collecting cells mixed in a liquid. It is also used by pharmaceutical manufacturers to separate mixed liquids with different specific densities when analyzing pharmaceutical ingredients in quality control rooms. Both are used for laboratories and can separate multiple samples of about 100 ml at a time.
