Centrifugal concentrator / List of 5 manufacturers
What is a Centrifugal concentrator?
A centrifuge is generally a vacuum concentrator / dryer that combines a centrifuge and a vacuum dryer. The target sample can be concentrated by evaporating the solvent by lowering the boiling point by depressurizing and supplementing the heat of vaporization by heating while suppressing sudden boiling by centrifugal force. In addition to being used for the analysis of trace samples, this device has also been introduced in the concentration process, which has a major impact on sludge treatment systems, given the deterioration of sewage sludge depositability. Since it can be operated continuously almost unmanned, it is expected to become more widespread in the future.
Application of Centrifugal concentrator
Centrifugal force can prevent solvent bumping and foaming, which suppresses sample loss and is suitable for sample concentration for microanalysis. For example, it is used to concentrate DNA, RNA, peptides, etc., and to create other applications that require concentration and drying.
