Oil separator / List of 1 manufacturers
What is a Oil separator?
An oil separator is a device for separating gas (air or gas) mixed in lubricating oil (engine oil, etc.). It is the internal combustion engine (engine) that is easy to imagine. Blow-by gas generated by the engine is generally discharged from the upper space above the engine (near the head cover) and returned to the intake side. However, the oil separator is a device that can extract only oil from blow-by gas and return it to the inside of the engine by using an oil separator. If air or blow-by gas gets mixed in the engine oil, it will not be able to fully function as a lubricating oil. In addition, the heat dissipation efficiency of the oil cooler will also deteriorate. This is true for all machines that use lubricating oil.
Application of Oil separator
Oil separators are used to separate oil in internal combustion engines and refrigeration circuits. In both cases, the crank parts that rotate at high speed stir the oil and gas, and the oil is easily mixed with gas. By using an oil separator, it is possible to prevent overheating by suppressing oil loss, maintaining lubrication characteristics, and maintaining heat dissipation characteristics. Since it is used under high pressure in refrigerating equipment, oil may enter the cooler, but removing the oil from the refrigerant also helps prevent the cooler from malfunctioning. In this way, oil separators are used to protect machines, equipment, and the environment.
