What is a Culture vessel?
A culture vessel is a container used for culturing cells in research and development in the fields of life science and drug discovery. There are petri dishes (dish) and flasks. Since the culture surface is uniform and has no irregularities, a clear field of view can be obtained, making it ideal for observing cultures. In the past, culture vessels made of glass were the mainstream, but now we usually use disposable culture vessels made of resin materials such as polyethylene due to their high transparency and workability. Since the resin surface is hydrophobic and has poor affinity with cells, the surface is made hydrophilic to improve cell adhesion.
