What is a XYZ stage?
The XYZ stage is an element used to adjust the position of the optical element. A micrometer is attached in the XYZ directions of the stage, and the stage can be moved in each direction. There are multiple screw holes on the top of the stage, and these holes are used to fix the optical element. A magnet can also be attached to the stage body, and it can be installed on the optical table with a strong magnetic force. By using a micrometer, the position can be adjusted with a very fine step size of 0.01 mm.
Application of XYZ stage
The XYZ stage is widely used in research and development for optical experiments. The position of cameras, sensors, and various other optics fixed on the stage can be precisely determined. Since it can move in three axes, it is suitable when you want to spatially adjust the position of the stage according to the measurement / observation target. When handling a laser, the XYZ stage is effective because there are situations where it is necessary to adjust the position of the mirrors and lenses installed on the optical path.
