What is a electric gripper?
A gripper is a mechanism for grasping and holding (grasping) an object. Among them, a device that is electrically driven and grips an object is called an electric gripper. The shape of the gripper varies depending on the shape and surface texture of the object to be gripped, but the most commonly used gripper is the two-fingered parallel gripper, in which two members arranged in parallel move linearly to pinch or separate the object. It plays an active role as a device (end effector) that functions at the tip of a robot arm or linear motion mechanism. Electric grippers can be controlled more precisely than pneumatic grippers, so they are used when the size of an object changes or when you want to change the gripping force as needed.
