What is a Vacuum chuck?

A vacuum chuck is a fixture that adsorbs an object by the negative pressure generated by vacuum. Also called a vacuum chuck. Many of the devices for fixing workpieces with vacuum chucks are table-shaped. There are multiple small holes on the surface that connect to the internal vacuum, and the negative pressure in these small holes attracts objects. Since it is possible to adsorb any object that has a flat surface that does not allow air to pass through, it can be used for a wider variety of materials than the chucking method that uses magnets, which can only chuck magnetic materials.
