What is a Stone plate?

A granite surface plate is a flat reference tool used in precision measurements and machining. Made from stone (mainly granite), it offers high flatness accuracy. Its resistance to wear and minimal susceptibility to temperature changes make it ideal for tasks requiring dimensional stability. Unlike metal plates, it does not rust.
