What is a Clean room wear?
Clean room wear (clean wear) is work clothes that prevent dust from the human body and clothing of workers. It is also called dust-free clothing because of its function of suppressing dust generation. Workers are one of the major sources of dust in clean rooms. In fact, it is not uncommon for foreign matter mixed in a clean room to be found to be worker-derived deposits. To maintain the cleanliness of the clean room, it is effective to use clean room wear to prevent dust from workers. From the viewpoint of preventing dust emission from workers, airtightness is important in addition to the dust emission of the wear itself. However, as long as it is used as clothing, some degree of breathability is also required. Cleanroom wear is designed to balance these seemingly contradictory characteristics.
Application of Clean room wear
Clean room wear is used in factories that manufacture semiconductors, pharmaceuticals, food products, and so on. These are areas where the use of clean rooms is essential. One of the purposes of using clean rooms in the pharmaceutical and food industries is to prevent contamination of airborne bacteria. There are many floating bacteria in a normal space that is not very clean. Since these airborne bacteria adhere to the surface of airborne particles, the risk of airborne bacteria contamination increases as the number of airborne particles in the space increases. Clean room wear prevents contamination by suppressing the generation of dust, that is, suspended particles.
