What is a Load cell sensor?
A load cell (English: Load cell) is a load transducer, a sensor that detects a load or force, converts it to an electrical signal, and outputs it. Outputs corresponding to loads and forces are used for load display and recording, and may also be used for control. Load and force detection methods include the strain gauge method that measures the deformation strain of an object, the piezoelectric method, the metal thin film method, the capacitance method, the optical fiber method, the vibration method, and the magnetostrictive method. The output of the load cell is an analog or digital signal of voltage or current corresponding to the load. It is used to display and record the load of scales, etc., to measure the load capacity, etc., to measure the load in the material testing machine, etc. It is also used to control plants.
