What is a Pressure transducer?

A pressure transducer, also called a pressure sensor, is a device that converts any pressure into an electrical signal and transmits it. It is mainly used as a sensor for pressure control. Basically, the signal is converted to an electric signal of DC4-20mA or a pneumatic signal of 20-100kPa and transmitted. However, the adoption of pneumatic signals is on the decline. Gases, liquids, steam, etc. can be cited as targets for pressure measurement. A representative product is the one manufactured by Yokogawa Electric Corporation. There are two types of pressure transducers, absolute pressure and relative pressure, which must be used according to the application.
