What is a semi-fixed resistor?

A semi-fixed resistor is a type of variable resistor whose resistance value can be changed, and once the resistance value is set, it is fixed for a long period of time. They are also called trimmer resistors or trimmer potentiometers because they play the role of adjusting the resistance value of the circuit in the electronic device and adjusting (trimming) variations due to individual differences in other electronic components. The resistance value of the semi-fixed resistor is adjusted by turning the knob with a screwdriver. There is a type that turns from the top and a type that turns from the side, and there are also single-turn and multi-turn knobs.
