What is a Coil spring?
A coil spring is a coiled spring made mainly of metal wire. By compressing, pulling, or twisting by applying force from the outside, force can be stored inside, and the internal energy acts as a restoring force (repulsive force). Coil springs used for compression are called compression springs or compression springs, those used for tension are called extension springs or extension springs, and those used for torsion are called torsion coil springs or torsion springs. Coil springs are used in a variety of applications, such as push buttons and other machines that require a return action, everyday items, and toys, as well as for absorbing shocks and vibrations that occur in automobiles and machine tools.
