What is a Leaf spring?
A leaf spring is a spring material in the shape of a thin plate. It is used to push or pull a plate material within the elastic range, and the main materials used are iron, steel, stainless steel, and copper. Various bending strengths can be created by using not only the material but also the plate thickness and shape, and by changing the bending process and dimensions according to the application. The types of leaf springs include not only thin leaf springs, which consist of only one leaf, but also laminated leaf springs, which consist of multiple leafs. Circular disc springs are also a type of leaf spring, and spiral springs such as mainsprings are also classified as leaf springs.
