Gas spring / List of 2 manufacturers
What is a Gas spring?
A gas spring is a spring that uses the pressure of compressed gas. Also called gas damper, gas pressure spring, gas pressure damper. High-pressure nitrogen gas and oil are enclosed in a sealed cylinder, and a force is always applied to the piston in one direction (the direction in which the piston rod is pushed out of the cylinder). Since the gas spring has a small spring constant due to its structure, there is little change in force even when used with a large stroke. The operation is smooth and maintenance-free. Since the pressure of enclosed high-pressure gas is used, the reaction force may be affected by temperature, and the reaction force may decrease gradually over time.
