What is a Valve spring?

A valve spring is a spring that closes the intake and exhaust valves of an engine. Coil springs are commonly used. Piano wire and heat-resistant spring steel are used for spring materials. If the valve spring is too strong, it will not open and close smoothly. Composite springs that combine two coil springs and unequal pitch springs that change the pitch of the coil depending on the location are often used to improve valve movement.
