What is a Flow control valve?

A flow control valve is for controlling the amount of fluid discharged. It is used to adjust the air flow rate, such as when controlling the speed of the actuator used to drive the joints of the robot. There are various types of flow control valves, including throttle valves that can be finely adjusted and stop valves that can completely seal the outlet and reduce the flow rate to zero. Furthermore, even if the control valve is adjusting, the flow rate may change depending on the pressure or temperature, so there are flow control valves with a compensation function that prevents the flow rate from changing even if the pressure or temperature changes.
