What is a exhaust valve?

An exhaust valve is a valve that exhausts air. It is used to exhaust the compressed air in the piping of pneumatic equipment (equipment that uses compressed air). Because it is required to exhaust a large volume of air in a short time, it is sometimes called a quick exhaust valve or rapid exhaust valve. Exhaust valve is also used as an automotive term to indicate a valve for expelling combustion gases that is paired with an intake valve for letting air or air-fuel mixture into the cylinder.
