What is a V-ring?
A v-ring is a sealing product that is installed on the shaft of rotating equipment such as a hydraulic pump to prevent fluid from leaking to the outside. By installing it on the shaft, it is fixed to the shaft by the tension that can be obtained from the elasticity of the rubber, not only to prevent fluid leakage, but also to prevent dust and water from entering from the outside and adhering to the shaft. A feature of v-rings is that they come in a wide variety of sizes, from small shafts of about 5mm to large shafts of about 360mm, which can be applied in units of several millimeters. In addition, it is possible to use a variety of materials depending on the application, such as nitrile rubber, which has excellent wear resistance, and fluororubber, which has excellent heat resistance.
