What is a Sheet packing?

Sheet packing (British: Sheet packing) is a sheet (plate)-like part or material used in equipment, structures, piping, etc. to prevent internal fluids from flowing out. There are gaskets for similar purposes, but sheet packing is a type of sheet gasket among non-metallic gaskets, and although they have different names, they are basically the same. Generally, there are gaskets and packings for the purpose of sealing, and gaskets are mainly used for "non-moving" and "non-moving" parts. Buckin, on the other hand, indicates what is mainly used for "moving" and "moving" parts. However, the sheet packing in this case indicates the one used for "stationary" or "non-moving" parts, just like gaskets. There are no JIS or other standards stipulated for sheet packing.
