What is a Salt spray tester?

A salt spray test chamber is a device used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of metallic products or parts with anti-corrosion coatings. In the chamber, a saltwater solution (usually sodium chloride) is sprayed as a fine mist onto the test specimens, exposing them to the mist for a specific period. This simulates the corrosive environment found in outdoor or coastal areas. The test is commonly used for automotive parts, construction materials, home appliances, and other products. It helps determine the extent of rust formation and the durability of products, ensuring their quality and longevity.
