What is a Lenticular lens?
A lenticular lens is a convex lens whose cross section is shaped like a semi-cylindrical lens, and in general, many elongated convex lenses are connected in a sheet shape. By displaying images and videos with parallax on the screen with the lenticular lens attached to the screen, stereoscopic viewing with the naked eye can be realized.
Application of Lenticular lens
The main applications are "3D stereoscopic viewing with the naked eye" and "creating 2D images whose patterns change depending on the viewing angle". This is happening because the lenticular lens is affixed to the surface of cards and key chains that change the appearance depending on the viewing angle, which you see in souvenirs. Recently, autostereoscopic displays that do not require 3D glasses have been commercialized.
