What is a Prism sheet?
A prism sheet is one of the optical devices used to change the angle of light from a light source and to diffuse directional light. The prism sheet is made from an acrylic sheet and has periodic grooves on its surface. When light is transmitted through a sheet with such a shape, the light is refracted at a certain angle. Therefore, the angle of light can be changed.
Application of Prism sheet
Prism sheets are used in mobile phones and displays. Prism sheets are used in mobile and television displays. A prism sheet is attached to the optical path of the backlight of the device to change the angle of light and increase the diffusivity. By using a prism sheet, the backlight can be condensed to brighten the brightness of the display.
