What is a Light guide bar?
The light guide rod is a light used to read a scanner and can make the entire elongated rod emit light evenly. An LED is attached to the end of the light guide rod to serve as a light source. It has the characteristic that the light is illuminated in the same direction by 360 ° by reflecting the light with a transparent resin. There is also a light guide rod that can be bent with a soft material. In the past, halogen lamps and cold cathode fluorescent lamps were used as the light source for the light guide rods, but LED light sources, which are low cost and have a long life, are used in most models.
Application of Light guide bar
The light guide rod is mainly used to illuminate the reading part of the scanner. When scanning an image, the scanner illuminates the document with the light from the light guide rod and scans the reflected light with the line sensor. Therefore, uniform illuminance with less uneven brightness is required. Light guide rods are used as various light guides installed in automobiles, and are applied to ambient lighting, switch back lenses, information lenses, and so on.
