What is a Optical glass?
Optical glass is made mainly of silica stone and silica sand, which are mainly made of silicon, and has very few impurities that impair transparency, has a uniform shape, and has few air bubbles and scratches. This glass is used in optical instruments that transmit light, such as lenses and prisms. Materials are often used according to the wavelength of light used. BK7 (BK7) is used in the center of the visible region, and fused quartz or synthetic quartz is used when used in the ultraviolet region.
