What is a Organic EL display?

An organic EL display is a new power-saving, high-brightness display that uses organic EL (electroluminescence) technology. Organic compounds such as diamine and anthracene are known as molecules that emit light when voltage is applied, and organic EL utilizes this property. Unlike conventional liquid crystal displays, it does not require a backlight, so displays can be made thinner. In addition, compared to the case of using inorganic materials as phosphors, it is characterized by the fact that it is easier to realize a variety of color displays.
