What is a Resettable fuse?
A resettable fuse is an electronic component that can be used repeatedly while acting as a fuse to prevent overcurrent. Also called polyswitch or polyfuse. A PTC thermistor that uses a conductive polymer and has a different basic principle from a fuse. A fuse cuts off the circuit by heating its element when overcurrent flows. On the other hand, resettable fuses limit the current by increasing the temperature inside the element due to overcurrent and increasing the resistance value. Many products are smaller than fuses, so they can save space, have a structure that is hard to break, and are resistant to shock and vibration.
