What is a Barista?
A varistor is a semiconductor element with two electrodes whose resistance value changes according to the applied voltage. "Variable" + "Resistor" means "changing resistance". Therefore, it is sometimes called indirect resistance or voltage dependent resistance. A characteristic of varistors is that the voltage and current are not in a proportional relationship. When the voltage applied to the varistor is small, the resistance is high, and when the voltage is high, the resistance is low.
