What is a M2M router?
An M2M (Machine to Machine) router is a device that acts as a relay between these devices and the server when various data collected by terminal sensor devices are collected on the server and processed. For example, if multiple water level sensors are installed at multiple observation points to constantly monitor the water level of a river, etc., a wireless interface such as 3G or LTE must be installed to send the data from the sensor device to the server. . As a result, each sensor device becomes very expensive. To avoid this, it is possible to reduce the cost of the system by installing only relatively inexpensive Wi-Fi or wired interfaces on the sensor device side. M2M routers are expected to be used under severe environmental conditions, and are required to have a wide operating temperature range and excellent dust resistance.
