A display extender is a device used to send a video signal to a display that is too far away for a normal display cable to reach. Extender means "extending device" in English. A display extender is a device that extends the display. A display extender consists of a video signal transmission extender near the computer, a video signal reception extender, and a cable connecting them. There are two types of display cables: analog signal transmission and digital signal transmission. In general, the digital signal system can output higher quality images.
