What is a Ultrasonic sensor?
An ultrasonic sensor (English: Ultrasonic sensor) is a device that uses ultrasonic waves to measure the distance to an object. Ultrasound is a general term for sounds that have high frequencies and are inaudible to humans. The human ear senses 20Hz to 20,000Hz, but sounds with frequencies higher than that are called ultrasonic waves. Ultrasonic sensors generate ultrasonic waves and measure the distance by detecting the reflected sound waves. In recent years, it has become smaller and lighter, and has become cheaper, so it is widely used.
Application of Ultrasonic sensor
Ultrasonic sensors are widely used from home to industrial use. For home use, it is used for in-vehicle rangefinders, jet towels, etc., taking advantage of the fact that distance can be measured without contact. In-vehicle rangefinders are rapidly becoming widespread due to the mandatory collision damage mitigation brakes. For industrial use, it is used as a level meter for drainage tanks and chemical storage tanks. It is often used for highly corrosive liquids.
