What is a force sensor?
A force sensor is a device that measures the magnitude and orientation of forces and moments. The force sensor is basically a 6-axis type, and measures the force and moment in the x, y, and z directions, respectively. Depending on the intended use, there are also 3-axis force sensors. The force sensor measures using the magnitude and orientation of the deformation of the object to be measured. Deformation detection methods include strain gauge type, voltage type, optical type, and capacitance type.
