What is a Non-contact temperature sensor?
A non-contact temperature sensor is a sensor that can detect temperature without directly attaching it to the measurement target. It uses infrared rays emitted by an object, scattering when neutrons are incident, and velocity distribution of particles. Most non-contact temperature sensors on the market are infrared sensors. The principle of operation of a sensor using infrared rays is to detect infrared rays using a detection element and calculate the temperature of the measurement target. Emissivity is used when calculating temperature. Emissivity is the amount of infrared rays relative to the surface temperature determined for each object, and is required when using a non-contact temperature sensor.
