Weight sensor / List of 3 manufacturers
What is a Weight sensor?
A weight sensor is a sensor that measures the weight of an object. Load cells are mainly used. Before load cells became mainstream, weight was measured using mechanical lever scales. Lever-type scales require time and effort for calibration and maintenance in order to perform accurate measurements. Load cell scales are designed with no moving or frictional parts, so they are hard to break and can be used for a long time with only simple maintenance. It also has excellent features such as high measurement accuracy and little influence of temperature on measurement, and is widely used.
Application of Weight sensor
One of the main uses is for weight measurement itself. Specifically, it may be used to measure the weight of a patient by installing it on a hospital bed, or to check the weight of a product at a production site. Since pressure is used to detect weight, it can also be used to measure the load applied to an object. For example, it is used to know the engine torque and the load on the wheels in a vehicle.
