What is a CO2 monitor?
A CO2 monitor, also known as a CO2 sensor, is a device that continuously measures the CO2 concentration in a specific environment. A device used for measuring CO2 concentration in exhaled breath for medical purposes is called a capnometer. The widely used type is the NDIR (Non-Dispersive Infrared Density) type sensor that utilizes the property that CO2 absorbs infrared rays of a specific frequency and does not interfere with N2 and O2, which are the main components in the atmosphere. It has a simpler structure and can be made smaller than other measuring devices, so it is widely used in offices, factories, and farms.
