What is a Positioning sensor?

It refers to a sensor that measures the position of a target object and converts the position information of the target object into digital information. There is a contact type that grasps the position by touching the target and a non-contact type that grasps the position by irradiating the target with a laser, and the measurable target and distance differ depending on the principle used. In addition to lasers, there are multiple types of non-contact types. Some displacement sensors that measure displacement, such as the amount of movement of an object, are often used as positioning sensors.
