What is a Static electricity sensor?

An electrostatic sensor is a type of device that measures the amount of static electricity on an object to be measured, and is also called a surface potential measuring instrument. This is a non-contact type sensor that utilizes the phenomenon that an electric field with a strength proportional to the amount of charge is generated around a charged object. The electrostatic sensor can measure static electricity not only on metals but also on general dielectric materials such as plastic, glass, and water. In addition to installation-type static electricity sensors, there are also handy-type static electricity sensors that allow pinpoint measurement of the desired location.
