What is a Photo reflector?
A photoreflector is a small electronic component that integrates a light-emitting element and a light-receiving element. It is used in the camera parts of smartphones and personal computers. A blue LED or infrared light is used as the light-emitting element, and a photodiode or phototransistor is used as the light-receiving element. It operates by detecting the light emitted from the light-emitting element and reflected by the object to be measured by the light-receiving element. The photoreflector makes it possible to determine whether an object exists or not, and to detect the color gradation of the object. A sensor that has such a ""light-emitting element"" and ""light-receiving element"" is called an ""optical sensor"" or ""photosensor."" The drawback of photoreflectors is that the detection distance is limited and the objects that can be detected are limited.
