Chip thermistor / List of 10 manufacturers
What is a Chip thermistor?
A thermistor is a semiconductor element whose resistance value changes abruptly when the ambient temperature changes. It is made by mixing multiple metals.
A chip thermistor is a thermistor that can be surface-mounted on a printed circuit board. There are NTC (negative temperature coefficient) thermistors whose resistance value gradually decreases as the temperature rises, and CTR (critical temperature resistor) thermistors whose resistance value decreases sharply as the temperature rises. Conversely, they are classified into the above three types, the type called PTC (positive temperature coefficient) thermistor, whose resistance value increases sharply as the temperature rises.
