Magnetic proximity sensor / List of 4 manufacturers
What is a Magnetic proximity sensor?
A magnetic proximity sensor uses magnetic force to open and close a switch without touching the object to be detected. Mainly, there are methods using reed switches, hall elements, and magnetoresistive elements. Features include non-contact detection, easy adjustment of detection distance (strengthen magnetic force), no mutual interference, long service life, and small size. Depending on the housing, it can be used in environments where other sensors cannot, such as dust, heat and vibration. It is also possible to pass through and detect non-ferromagnetic materials such as wood and plastic.
