What is a Current sense amplifier?
A current sense amplifier is one of the device elements that detects the value of the current flowing in an electric circuit. The current can be calculated by measuring the voltage across the shunt resistor used to detect the current. Since the voltage drop across the shunt resistor is amplified by the operational amplifier, even a small potential difference can be detected as a large voltage. In addition, since a fixed gain is configured with built-in resistors, it is less susceptible to temperature changes and external influences, enabling highly accurate measurements.
